Four concave sign after birth

Introduction

Introduction Children with congenital laryngeal atresia have no breathing and crying after birth, and there are four concave signs, but no air inhalation. In the embryonic stage, the laryngeal cavity is not formed due to the development of the laryngeal process, and the laryngeal atresia cannot be ventilated at birth, which is called congenital laryngeal atresia. There are two kinds of membranous or cartilage, no matter any atresia, there is often a small hole in the back of the throat called pharyngeal duct. In the embryonic stage, the development of the laryngeal process is blocked, the laryngeal cavity is not formed, and the laryngeal atresia cannot be ventilated at birth. The child has no breathing or crying after birth.

Cause

In the embryonic stage, the development of the laryngeal process is blocked, the laryngeal cavity is not formed, and the laryngeal atresia cannot be ventilated at birth. It is caused by congenital factors. There are two kinds of membranous or cartilage, no matter any atresia, there is often a small hole in the back of the throat called pharyngeal duct. The laryngeal cavity is not formed, and the laryngeal atresia cannot be ventilated at birth. an examination

Direct laryngoscopy reveals a occlusion.

Diagnosis

Differential diagnosis

Although the child has no breathing after birth but has obvious breathing action, this can be caused by shock, cerebral hemorrhage, etc. but has obvious breathing action, which can be distinguished from apnea caused by shock and cerebral hemorrhage. The color of the child at birth is normal after the ligation of the umbilical cord, and the cyanosis occurs, which can be differentiated from the heart bun. No crying and throat can be distinguished from other laryngeal or tracheal abnormalities. Direct laryngoscopy reveals a occlusion. After the child was born, no breathing and crying could be seen as "four concave signs", but no air inhalation. The color of the child was normal at the time of birth, but after the umbilical cord was ligated, it soon became convulsed.
