The hug reflex disappears
Introduction
Introduction Infants under 3-4 months, when the mother or family suddenly walks to the child or makes a sound, they will find that the child has two arms outstretched and straightened, and then the chest receives a hug in the flexion, we will think that the child Cramps occur. In fact, this is not a cramp, but a physiological phenomenon, medically known as a hug reflex. If there is no such reflex in the neonatal period, it means that the child is not matured in the brain nervous system, and the second may be damage or pathological changes in the nervous system, intracranial hemorrhage or other intracranial diseases.
Cause
Cause
Embrace the cause of the disappearance of the reflex:
Embracing reflex is the intrinsic reflex of the spinal cord, which belongs to unconditioned reflex. If this kind of hug reflex is lacking, it means that the child is not matured in the brain nervous system, and the second may be damage or lesion of the nervous system, intracranial hemorrhage or other intracranial diseases.

Embrace the examination that the reflection disappears:
This reflex was evident in 3 months after birth and completely disappeared after 6 months. There is no such reflex in the neonatal period, indicating that there is brain damage. If one side of the upper limb lacks a shocking reflex, it indicates a brachial or clavicular fracture caused by birth trauma or other causes. When the brain has damage or acute lesions, the shock reflex can be delayed or disappeared. If it can still be caused after 4 months, it should be noticed; it still appears after 9 months, which is a characteristic of chronic brain lesions.
Diagnosis
Differential diagnosis
Embrace the reflection disappears easily confused symptoms:
Anal reflexes disappear or disappear: indicating bilateral pyramidal or cauda equina damage. When the cauda equina nerve root is damaged, it can manifest as various symptoms of nerve damage below the waist 2 . When the horsetail is damaged, the boundary of the sensory disorder is clear. The upper anterior border is the groin, and the posterior is the horizontal line at the upper end of the humerus. Below this, all the hips, perineum and lower limbs have sensory disturbances, accompanied by spontaneous pain (electrical pain) and abnormal perineum. Feeling and radiating to the lower extremities, often painful feelings are delayed. The height and extent of the horsetail damage are different. The upper and lower bounds can be different.
Knee paralysis disappeared: Patients with lost knee reflexes had a higher rate of impaired glucose tolerance than patients with normal knee reflexes (P < 0.01). The disappearance of knee reflex can be used as a means to prompt clinicians to find patients with impaired glucose tolerance. This reflex is usually affected by the high-level part of the central nervous system. The strength and slowness of the reaction can reflect the functional status of the central nervous system, and it is clinically used to examine the central nervous system. Most of the patients with lumbar disc herniation have a weakened knee palsy, which is attenuated or even disappeared. It is more common in the lumbar 4 and 4 intervertebral discs leading to the invasion of the lumbar 4 nerve roots.
The sucking reflex disappears: When the newborn's lips touch the nipple, the mouth is opened and the mouth and tongue sucking action is called sucking reflection. The reflection disappeared after 1 year of age. If the neonatal reflexes disappear or become significantly weaker, suggesting intracerebral lesions. If you are aggressive, you will be hungry. There is still a suggestion of cerebral cortical dysfunction after 1 year of age. Clinical manifestations: lightly stroke or licking the lips, immediate contraction of the orbicularis muscles, upper and lower lips, causing "sucking" movements. Normal people do not have this reflection.
