Increased vaginal discharge

Introduction

Introduction The traits of female vaginal secretions are a special signal for the health of the female reproductive system. Under normal circumstances, the shape and amount of vaginal secretions are different at different times of the menstrual cycle. The increase in female vaginal secretions is an increase in the amount of secretion, and the color and odor of the secretions are abnormally changed.

Cause

Cause

The cause of increased vaginal secretions:

(1) Pathogen infection: use contaminated hygiene products to cause pathogens to enter the reproductive tract from the vaginal opening, infection, and increased vaginal discharge.

(2) vaginal trichomoniasis infection: this infection is likely to cause an increase in vaginal discharge, accompanied by stench, and genital itching.

(3) Cervical erosion: changes in childbirth laceration or sex hormones or sexual behavior caused by inflammation of the cervix may cause cervical erosion and increase vaginal discharge. A small number of women may have cervical erosion without any cause, that is, "congenital cervical erosion", which may also cause an increase in vaginal discharge.

(4) Viral virus infection of the cervix, vagina and genital area: Some viral viruses can be cured without treatment, such as: a viral strain of cold, but when it is a filter of cauliflower (scientific name genital warts) Sexually transmitted diseases often develop leucorrhea.

(5) Increased leucorrhea caused by Candida albicans infection: Candida albicans has two characteristics: the first is that the vitality is very tenacious; the second is that it likes moisture. Therefore it is not easy to cure. People who take antibiotics, avoid drugs or adrenal steroids for a long time, as well as pregnant women, people with diabetes, and women who like to wear tights are more susceptible to infection and are not easily cured after infection.

(6) Atrophic vaginitis: a small number of women due to illness, except for the ovary on both sides or the early onset of menopause and women after menopause, due to the gradual lack of estrogen in the body, the vaginal wall will gradually become vulnerable and susceptible to bacteria. Inflammation occurs due to infection, resulting in increased vaginal discharge. It is also possible that vaginal discharge increases due to vaginal atrophy when the age is small.

(7) Foreign bodies have entered the reproductive organs: gauze, sanitary tampon, menstrual plugs, etc. in the vagina, and some female uterus are not suitable for placing the birth control device, which will stimulate the reproductive organs and increase the vaginal discharge.

Differential diagnosis of vaginal secretions that are confusing:

Trichomonas vaginitis: Trichomona 1vaginitis is a common vaginitis caused by Trichomonas vaginalis. The trichomoniasis is pear-shaped and has a pointed tip, which is about 2 to 3 times larger than that of multinucleated white blood cells. There are 4 flagella on the top of the worm body, a fluctuating membrane in the body, and a shaft column protruding at the back end. The live trichomoniasis is transparent and colorless, and is in the shape of a drop. The flagella oscillates with the fluctuation of the fluctuating membrane. The life history of trichomoniasis is simple, only the trophozoites have no cysts, and the trophozoites have strong viability, which can be 3 to 5 Survival at °C for 2 days; survival at 46 °C for 20 to 60 minutes; survival in a semi-dry environment for about 10 hours; and survival in ordinary soapy water for 45 to 120 minutes. In the environment below Ph5 or above 7.5, it does not grow, and the vaginal pH value of patients with trichomonas vaginitis is generally 5.1 to 5.4. Trichomonas hidden in glands and vaginal folds often reproduce before and after menstruation, causing inflammation. It can consume or engulf glycogen in vaginal epithelial cells and impede lactic acid production. Trichomonas not only parasitize the vagina. It also often invades the urethra or paraurethral glands, even the bladder, renal pelvis, and the foreskin pleats of the male, the urethra, or the prostate.

Monilial or mycotic vaginitis: caused by mold infection. Its incidence is higher than trichomonas vaginitis. Medically, the mold infection is called Candida infection, so fungal vaginitis is also called Candida vaginitis. More common in young girls, pregnant women, diabetic patients, and patients who have been treated with larger doses of estrogen after menopause. The main symptoms of Candida vaginitis are increased vaginal discharge, genital itching, but the leucorrhea of Candida vaginitis increases to watery or pus-like, mixed with cheese-like or tofu residue.

Increased vaginal discharge: vaginal discharge is a female vaginal discharge. The vaginal discharge of normal women is an odorless, slightly acidic viscous substance, which has the functions of moistening the vagina, excreting waste, and inhibiting the growth of pathogenic bacteria, and is a normal physiological phenomenon. Increased vaginal discharge in healthy women is directly proportional to the increase in estrogen levels in the body. Such as ovulation or vaginal discharge during pregnancy, in the case of excessive growth of the endometrium, or the use of estrogen drugs can appear similar leucorrhea. The increase in leucorrhea that deserves special attention is the vaginal discharge of the lesion.

Cervical erosion: Cervical erosion is not an independent disease, but a manifestation of chronic cervicitis, caused by human papillomavirus infection. After the occurrence of cervical erosion, leucorrhea often increases, thick, may occasionally appear purulent, bloody vaginal discharge, accompanied by backache, abdominal pain and lower abdominal feeling, sexual life may also cause contact bleeding or odor.
