Decreased secretion of anal glands

Introduction

Introduction Anal sinusitis often has anal gland secretion reduced, anal canal dryness, poor bowel movements and so on. Anal sinusitis, also known as anal cryptitis, is often the origin of infectious diseases of the anorectal and rectal parts. Because the symptoms are not heavy, it is easy to be ignored. It is caused by mental stress, such as neurosis of the anorectal, syndrome of the pudendal nerve, sciatica, and neuralgia of the tailbone, which are reflected to the anus and cause anal pain. In addition, foreign body and bad diet stimulation: such as trauma, foreign body in the rectum, spicy food and alcohol can stimulate the anus, can also cause the disease.

Cause

Cause

Causes:

At the bottom of the anal sinus, there are anal glands and anal gland ducts that can secrete fluid. They usually secrete viscous liquid, lubricate the stool and protect the rectum. Because the anal sinus is like a funnel, the opening is open, feces and other dirty things, it is easy to accumulate in the sinus, and it is also easy to be broken by hard feces. After the invasion of bacteria, it will cause infection in the anal sinus and spread along the anal gland duct and anal gland. Therefore, anal sinusitis is the root cause of various anorectal diseases, such as anorectal abscess, anal fistula, anal fissure, hemorrhoids. Anal papillitis, etc., the occurrence of anal canal cancer is also associated with the stimulation of chronic anal sinus inflammation.

Differential diagnosis of anal gland secretion reduction:

1. Constipation: Constipation is a very common clinical symptom. Constipation refers to too few stools, or poor bowel movements, laboriousness, difficulty, and dry stools. Normally, the bowel movement is performed once or twice a day or 2-3 days, but the amount and stool of the feces are often affected by the type of food and the environment. Many patients have bowel movements <3 times/week, and severe cases last 2 to 4 weeks before defecation. Some daily platoons can be repeated many times, but defecation is difficult. The defecation time can be more than 30 minutes each time. The feces are as hard as sheep dung and the amount is very small.

2. Anal canal stenosis: Anal canal stenosis refers to a series of clinical symptoms such as difficulty in defecation, thin stools, or pain in the anus after abdomen due to various reasons. According to the time of onset, it can be divided into congenital anal canal stenosis and acquired anal canal stenosis.

3, the anus or anal canal narrow: the anus or anal canal narrow is a clinical manifestation of congenital anorectal stenosis. The narrow part is more common in the anal canal or anus, and the range is short and ring-shaped, also known as anal membranous stenosis.

4, anal reflex weakened or disappeared: anal reflex weakened or disappeared indicating bilateral pyramidal or cauda equina damage.
