Feeling of occlusion in the ear
Introduction
Introduction The sense of occlusion in the ear means that the ear is blocked by a mass of cotton and the hearing is degraded. Tinnitus, hearing loss, and occlusion in the ear are common symptoms of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. When nasopharyngeal carcinoma occurs in the side wall of the nasopharynx, when the lateral fossa or the eustachian tube opens the upper lip, the tumor can be unilaterally tinnitus or hearing. Decline, catarrhal otitis media can also occur. Patients with middle ear cancer have a feeling of bloating in the ear in the early stage and obvious pain in the late stage. Middle ear cancer is a malignant cancer that occurs in the middle ear. It accounts for 1.5% of ear tumors and 0.06% of systemic tumors.
Cause
Cause
The main reason is:
(1) Eustachian tube dysfunction and obstruction. There are many common causes, such as adenoid hypertrophy, chronic sinusitis, hypertrophic rhinitis, giant nasal polyps, nasopharyngeal cancer. Especially when the patient has a cold or a flight, the ventilatory function of the eustachian tube is impeded, and the air in the middle ear is absorbed and gradually forms a negative pressure. Therefore, the patient feels that the ear is stuffy and the hearing is diminished.
(2) Infection. Common pathogens are Haemophilus influenzae and Streptococcus pneumoniae.
(3) immune response. The study found that most patients can be combined with type I or type II allergy. Clinically, it has also been found that patients with this disease have more respiratory allergic diseases, such as allergic rhinitis, nasal polyps, and bronchial asthma.
Examine
an examination
1. Audiological examination: manifested as varying degrees of conduction, mixed or sensorineural hearing loss.
2. Imaging examination: High-resolution CT of the tibia is an effective tool for evaluating the nature and extent of chronic suppurative lesions. Through imaging examination, we can understand the degree of gasification of the mastoid, the state of the small bone, the various parts of the middle ear and the extent of the lesion.
Diagnosis
Differential diagnosis
The occlusion induction in the ear is differentiated from the swelling in the ear.
