urethral caruncle excision

The urethral meat emulsion is a red tumor-like tissue located in the female urethra, but it is not a true tumor. The urethral meat sputum is generally small, mostly located in the middle of the urethra below, a few can involve the urethra around, some with pedicles, most of the base is wide, protruding on the surface of the urethra mucosa, easy to hemorrhage and pain. It is not uncommon for patients with urinary tract cancer to be misdiagnosed as meat mites. Therefore, regardless of surgical treatment or not, the diagnosis must be confirmed by pathological examination. For the treatment of urethral meat emulsion, the smaller ones are mostly applied with estrogen ointment, especially for middle-aged and elderly women. The method is that the estrogen ointment is applied to the affected area every night before going to bed for 10 to 20 days, which can be effective, and can be repeated once every 3 to 4 months. For those who have a small range and have pedicles, they can also be removed by electrocautery, laser, microwave or cryotherapy, but some cases can recur. Extensive or large meat emulsions can be surgically removed. Treatment of diseases: urethral meat emulsion Indication The urethral meat ring resection is suitable for urethral meat rafts with a wide base or a ring shape. Surgical procedure 1. Incision: Make an annular incision along the outer urethra. The tangent should be about 0.5 cm from the edge of the base of the meat emulsion, and the incision is deep to the submucosa. 2. Free urethral front: The urethral opening passes through two needle sutures and is pulled outward, and the urethral orifice is freed under the mucosa to make it pass over the base of the meat emulsion. 3. Excision of the meat mites: the posterior wall of the urethra is cut at the edge of the base of the meat emulsion to expose the urethral cavity. At 6 o'clock, the edge of the urethral orifice was sutured obliquely with the urethral incision with a 3-0 absorbable line. Then, the free edge of the meat is cut off by the end of the ring to cut the edge of the original annular incision until the urethral opening and the meat tissue are completely removed. 4. Indwelling the catheter, when the urethral opening and the meat sputum are removed, the new urethral opening is also sutured with the original incision. Insert a proper balloon catheter into the urethra to expand the balloon and secure it. The incision is covered with sterile gauze.
