Facial fracture repair
Transverse repair is used for the treatment of facial fractures. Transverse fracture is a rare congenital facial developmental malformation. It includes both unilateral and bilateral fractures, especially in bilateral fractures. The degree of cracking is not equal, generally the crack reaches the cheek, and in severe cases, it can pass over the front edge of the chewing muscle. Treatment of diseases: cleft lip and palate Indication The transverse fracture is the same as the general cleft lip deformity, and the sooner the repair is performed, the better. Early repair can not only correct facial deformities and dentition malformations, but also can treat salivation, breast pain and dysphonia. Surgical procedure 1. Designing the fixed point: First, the correct position of the corner should be determined. The position of the corner of the one-sided transverse split is relatively easy to determine, and the healthy side can be used as a standard. The angular position of the bilateral side slits is sometimes difficult to determine. A commonly used method is to make a vertical line Y from the inner 1/3 of the affected side of the eye, and a horizontal line X from the mouth to the outside, and the intersection of the two lines is defined as the position of the corner. After the position of the corner is determined, points C and C' can be selected at the edge of the crack above and below the corner point. 2. For patients with short fractures, the outer end of the transverse fracture, along the upper edge of the fracture to the C point, along the lower edge of the fracture to the C' point, each for each mouth. The incision only passes through the skin and muscles at the edge of the fissure, but does not pass through the mucosa, so that it can be turned over when suturing as an oral mucosa. 3. For patients with longer fissures, a triangular flap can be made in the middle of the incision and the two triangular flaps can be sutured. This can reduce the contraction of straight scars. 4. Make an incision according to the above design, layering the mucosa, muscles and skin. complication 1. Wounds are often caused by mouth opening, premature suture removal and wound infection. 2. Wound infection.
