Internal fixation with compression plate

The femoral shaft is rich in muscle groups, and it bears strong stress after fracture. It must have strong internal fixation or external fixation after open reduction and bone grafting. The nonunion of the middle, upper 1/3 and middle segment of the femur is most suitable for intramedullary nail fixation. Proliferative reactive nonunion fractures generally do not require additional bone grafting. The middle and lower third of the femoral shaft fractures are not healed, and the compression plate fixation and cancellous bone transplantation are often used, and strong external fixation can also be used. Treatment of diseases: fractures without healing of bone defects 1. Incision Starting from the external femoral condyle, make a longitudinal incision parallel to the femoral shaft, cut the skin, and separate the fascia and tendon bundle. 2, revealing the fracture end Separate between the lateral femoral muscle and the biceps femoris, ligation and cutting off the knee upper movement, vein. The incision is retracted to the front and rear sides, and the periosteum is cut longitudinally and appropriately peeled off to the sides to reveal the unhealed fracture end. 3, the treatment of the fracture end If there is no displacement at the fracture end, the fibrous tissue and cartilage in the middle of the fracture and the middle of the fracture may not be removed. The uneven bone surface of the femur is trimmed to smoothly place the compression plate. 4, internal fixation and bone grafting Hold the compression plate and the fracture ends of the upper and lower bones with a bone holder, and fix them with screws at the distal end. The pressurizer was screwed to the bone at a distance of 1 to 2 cm from the fractured plate, and the small hook was hooked into the last hole of the upper end of the steel plate. The compression between the ends of the bone is performed by screwing the screws on the pressurizer, and the upper fracture section is fixed by screws. Remove the pressurizer and relax the bone strip on the posterior and lateral sides of the non-healing fracture.
