Pharyngeal paralysis
Introduction
Introduction to pharyngeal paralysis Soft palate is a common type of pharyngeal hernia. The causes can be divided into central and peripheral, which can occur alone or in combination with other neural crests. The pharyngeal muscle spasm rarely occurs alone, often with esophageal entrance and esophagus. At the same time as other muscle groups, the cause of pharyngeal muscle spasm is almost the same as that of soft palate; most of the causes of pharyngeal muscle spasm are unclear, chronic pharyngitis, excessive alcohol and tobacco, physicochemical factors and long-term stimulation of nasal secretions can be used. Causes pharyngeal spasm. basic knowledge Probability ratio: Susceptible people: no special people. Mode of infection: non-infectious Complications: pharyngeal spasm
Cause
Cause of pharyngeal paralysis
Central medullary lesions (40%):
See medullary lesions caused by various reasons, such as tumor, hemorrhage or thrombosis, multiple sclerosis, bulbar palsy, syringomyelia, encephalitis, etc.
Peripheral nerve palsy (30%):
Peripheral paralysis is more common with multiple neuritis. Others such as toxic neuritis, skull base lesions (trauma, tumor) and other IX, X, XI brain nerves can also cause this disease.
Prevention
Pharynx paralysis prevention
There is no effective preventive measure for this disease. Early detection and early treatment are the key to prevention.
Complication
Pharyngeal paralysis complications Complications pharyngeal muscle spasm
When the pharyngeal muscles are paralyzed, the swallowing machine can be affected, and early fluid intake is difficult, and eating solid foods is unobstructed, and gradually develops the risk of being accidentally inhaled into the throat.
Symptom
Symptoms of pharyngeal paralysis Common symptoms Eating swallowing disorders Dysphagia difficult to talk with nasal food back to the nasal cavity
Side paralysis is often asymptomatic and bilateral paralysis is obvious. Due to soft palsy, the nasopharynx can not be closed, the patient has an open nasal sound; when entering the fluid diet, it flows back into the nasal cavity; it can't be whistling or suffocating. When the pharyngeal muscles are paralyzed, the swallowing machine can be affected. At the beginning of the lesion, there is difficulty in entering the fluid, and there is no shadow in the solid food. But gradually, food stagnate in the throat and there is a danger of entering the respiratory tract. Check that there is a lack of tension in the soft palate, and when the "ah"--"ah" sound is heard, the soft palate moves to the healthy side, and the affected side cannot lift. If the two are paralyzed, the soft palate is sagging and can not be lifted at all. If there is pharyngeal muscle paralysis at the same time, saliva or food retention can be seen in the pear-shaped fossa.

Diagnosis
Diagnosis and differentiation of pharyngeal paralysis
diagnosis
It can be seen that the soft palate lacks tension and sends "ah"--"ah" sound, the soft palate moves to the healthy side, and the affected side cannot lift. If the two are paralyzed, the soft palate is sagging and can not be lifted at all. If there is pharyngeal muscle paralysis at the same time, saliva or food retention can be seen in the pear-shaped fossa.
Differential diagnosis
It is mainly the identification between central and peripheral sputum.
