Radial nerve entrapment

Introduction

Introduction to sacral nerve sensation In 1932, Wartenbery first described a case of hand pain caused by a sacral nerve sensory branch, which is also known as Wartenbery syndrome. Others refer to it as hand pain paralysis, prisoner paralysis, and hand-cuffdisease. Wartenbery believes that the disease is caused by superficial neuritis and neuroinflammatory diseases of the sacral nerve. With the progress of relevant research, people gradually realized that the compression of the superficial branch of the radial nerve is the cause of this disease. basic knowledge The proportion of illness: the incidence rate is about 0.001%, more common in car accidents Susceptible people: no special people Mode of infection: non-infectious Complications: somatosensory disturbance

Cause

The cause of sacral nerve sensation

the reason

Due to long-term repeated wrist movements, it causes repeated traction and friction of the phrenic nerve.

Pathogenesis

The superficial branch of the radial nerve penetrates from the temporal extensor and the diaphragm to the superficial layer. The deep nerve is relatively fixed. There are more longitudinal and transverse fibers surrounding the nerve in the tendon space. After entering the superficial layer, the radial nerve is inserted. The shallow branch has a certain degree of sliding, long-term repeated wrist activity, causing repeated pulling and friction of the nerve, causing damage to the superficial branch of the radial nerve. Local trauma leads to tissue adhesion and is easy to induce this sign.

Prevention

Radial nerve sensation

1. The sacral nerves feel that the food is good for the body: pay attention to the diet, eat more fruits and vegetables, and mix the meal reasonably. Do not drink alcohol, do not eat spicy foods such as spicy.

2. Full rest is also very important. The activity is not to suspend the upper limbs for a long time. Because of the long-term repeated wrist activity, repeated traction and friction of the radial nerve should be the main cause of the sacral nerve sensation.

3. Pay attention to keep warm.

Complication

Radial nerve sensation Complications

Generally no special complications.

Symptom

Symptoms of sacral nerve sensation, common symptoms, burning pain, shallow sensation, or lack of upper limb numbness

1. Pain, numbness, tingling and feelings of pain are burning pains, exacerbated by wrist joint activity, and can be radiated to the upper arms and shoulders.

2. The dorsal side of the hand felt hypoesthesia, touch and two points of abnormality. Among the 51 cases reported by Dellon, 100% had sensory changes, and 42 cases had abnormalities in 42 cases.

3.Tinel sign in the middle of the forearm, the distal end of the diaphragm muscle, the Tinel sign is positive.

4. The sacral nerve superficial stimuli test 5. Diagnostic nerve block is injected with 2% procaine in the abdominal junction of the diaphragm, 5ml, the symptoms are improved after 10-20min, the pain is relieved, the finger strength is strengthened, because the forearm at the injection site The lateral cutaneous nerve is very close to the superficial branch of the radial nerve. Therefore, procaine can be injected in the upper part of the forearm and the cephalic vein to eliminate the pain caused by the lateral cutaneous nerve of the forearm.

Examine

Examination of sacral nerve sensation

Electrophysiological examination: In severe cases, the sensory potential was not recorded, but the conduction rate was slowed down.

Diagnosis

Diagnostic diagnosis of sacral nerve sensation

Based on medical history, clinical manifestations, physical examination and diagnostic nerve block, diagnosis can be made, and electrophysiological examination can help to establish a diagnosis.
