During the examination, the patient is seated. The examiner stands in front of him and fixes his head with one hand. The head is not rotated with the eye. The other hand extends a finger at 1 m in front of the eye for left upper, lower left, upper right, lower right, etc. Both eyes follow this finger movement, but the head does not move.
