Pelvic CT scan

The early detection of enlarged lymph nodes and tumors by CT is still limited, and other means of examination must be used. Basic Information Specialist classification: gynecological examination classification: CT Applicable gender: whether men and women apply fasting: fasting Tips: A small amount of urine before the examination. Normal value Normal people generally have no abnormalities. Clinical significance 1. The nature of the pelvic mass can be identified as substantial, cystic, vascular or fatty. 2. Identify the location of cryptorchidism, testicular tumors and their metastasis, can provide clinical staging and treatment reference. 3. Understand the morphological changes of the primary tumor and its spread, the extent of metastasis, determine the staging of the tumor, and help to develop a treatment plan. 4. Can be followed up, observe the dynamic changes of the disease, efficacy and recurrence. adapt to: 1. A lumps of the bladder, ureter, prostate, seminal vesicles, uterus and its attachments. 2. Display pelvic and pelvic organ damage. 3. Guide the interventional diagnosis and treatment measures such as needle biopsy and attraction. Precautions Preoperative attention 1. Do not take heavy metal drugs within 1 week before the examination. If you have had gastrointestinal barium meal imaging within 1 week, the abdominal fluoroscopy should be performed before the examination to confirm the absence of expectorant residues in the abdominal cavity. 2. Pay attention to the protective shielding outside the scanning inspection. 3. After the enhanced scan, the patient should stay for about 15 minutes to observe whether there is a delayed allergic reaction. 4. The scanning technician carefully fills in the relevant items of the inspection application form and signs it. 5. A small amount of urine before examination. Preparation during operation 1. Carefully check the CT examination application form, understand the condition, clarify the purpose and requirements of the examination, and the application form for the purpose of the examination and the unclear requirements should be confirmed with the clinician. 2. For enhanced scanners, prepare according to the requirements of iodine-containing contrast agent. 3. Fasting 4 hours before the test. 4. Take 1% to 2% of the iodine-containing contrast agent aqueous solution 1000-1500ml in the first 6 to 10 hours before the examination to fill the small intestine and colon in the far and near segments; drink plenty of water before scanning to keep the bladder filling. 5. Female married patients are placed with vaginal plugs. 6. If the rectum or sigmoid colon is suspected, you can directly inject 1% to 2% of the aqueous solution containing iodine contrast agent or 300ml of air through the rectum. Inspection process Inspection method: CT examination is performed. 1. Prepare for inspection. 2. Inspection method and scanning parameters (1) Flat sweep: 1 Scanning position: supine position, the body is placed in the middle of the bed, and the arms are raised on both arms. 2 scanning method: continuous scanning of cross section. 3 Positioning scan: Determine the scanning range, layer thickness, and layer spacing. 4 scanning range: the lower edge of the pubic symphysis is up to the level of the anterior superior iliac spine. 5 Scanning rack tilt angle: Scan the rack 0°. 6 scan field (FOV): body range. 7 scanning layer thickness: 5 ~ 10mm. 8 scanning interval: 5 ~ 10mm. 9 reconstruction algorithm: soft tissue or standard algorithm. 10 scan parameters: according to CT model settings. (2) Enhanced scanning: 1 contrast agent dosage: 80 ~ 100ml ionic or non-ionic iodine containing contrast agent. 2 injection method: intravenous injection of pressure syringe or pressurized rapid push bolus injection, the injection rate is 2 ~ 3ml / s. 3 Scanning start time: continuous scanning (8 to 10 s scanning period) after 60 to 80 ml injection. 4 Other scanners and scan parameters: same as plain scan. 3. Photo film requirements (1) Shoot the positioning piece, sweep and enhance the image in sequence. (2) The image display adopts soft tissue window, window position L30~50HU, window width W200~400HU. (3) Measure the CT value and size of the lesion level, and measure the change of CT value before and after the enhancement of the lesion level if necessary. Not suitable for the crowd Pregnant women. Adverse reactions and risks Generally no adverse reactions.
