radionuclide renogram

After intravenous injection of the renal radiopharmaceutical, the gamma scintillation detector is continuously measured in the renal region to obtain a curve of concentration and discharge of the radiopharmaceutical in the kidney. This curve is called a radionuclide kidney map. Two detectors can be used to align the left and right kidney regions, respectively, and two kidney maps are obtained. Kidney blood flow, renal function, etc. can be judged by the kidney map. It is a simple, safe, sensitive and rapid method for measuring renal function, which is helpful for the diagnosis of renal vascular hypertension and has been widely used. No ureteral intubation can reflect renal function on both sides, but the cause of diagnosis is lack of specificity. Basic Information Specialist classification: Urological examination classification: radionuclide Applicable gender: whether men and women apply fasting: not fasting Tips: At least three days should be light diet, do not drink alcohol, overeating or excessive fatigue, so as not to affect the results of the examination. Normal value normal. Clinical significance Points to note: 1. A certain flow rate of urine (hydration) is particularly important, otherwise it will affect the accurate judgment of the results. 2. The compensatory function of the kidney is very large, and the tracer content is very small, so the kidney map is still normal and the kidney function is not considered abnormal. Abnormal results: When renal vascular hypertension affects renal function, the renal map may be abnormal, showing low or no function, and the vascular segment and secretory segment are reduced. If a rich collateral circulation has been formed, the kidney map can be completely normal. Conversely, although the renal artery is not obstructed, the renal map can show abnormalities due to long-term persistent hypertension affecting renal arteriosclerosis. The kidney map only reflects changes in renal function and is therefore not specific and cannot be diagnosed as a cause. When segmental renal artery stenosis has not affected renal function, the kidney map may not reflect abnormalities. Need to check the crowd: Suspected ureteral obstruction, urinary closure, abnormal renal function, transplanted kidney monitoring, abdominal mass and kidney. Precautions Taboo before the test: At least three days should be light diet, do not drink alcohol, overeating or excessive fatigue, so as not to affect the test results. Requirements for inspection: Meet the doctor's request. Inspection process 131I-OIH, which emits gamma rays, is used as a tracer, and is intravenously injected and circulated to the whole body with blood. The time of 131OIH passage through the kidney was depicted in the in vitro kidney region using a nuclear probe instrument. Not suitable for the crowd The kidneys have serious diseases and need to seek medical advice. Adverse reactions and risks Generally no adverse reactions.
